Accounting and Audit Manager
Laura originally joined Johanson & Yau in 2003 but moved out of the area in late 2006. She rejoined the firm in September 2008 as a manager and serves an important role in the firm’s accounting and audit practice. Prior to first joining Johanson & Yau, she spent several years with similar-sized CPA firms, providing closely held businesses with accounting, audit, tax and business consultation services.
Laura specializes in the audit, review and compilation of financial statements. Her industry expertise includes construction, real estate, distribution, employee benefit plans, healthcare and non-profit organizations. She is actively involved in several key committees of the firm, including construction, recruiting, staff mentoring and financial services. Her goal is to provide exceptional services that exceed clients’ expectations.
Laura earned her MBA degree from University of California, Riverside and her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from California State University, Sacramento. She is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs, Silicon Valley San Jose Chapter.
