Sara E. Kelley, CPA

Sara joined Johanson & Yau in 1987 and has served as a partner since 2008. She joined the firm shortly after graduating from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business with a concentration in Accounting. She is the partner-in-charge of the Firm’s Accounting and Auditing Group. Sara provides audit, accounting and general business advisory services to small and medium sized businesses in a variety of industries including construction, real estate, manufacturing, retail, wholesale distribution, healthcare, not-for-profit and employee benefit plans. In addition, she chairs the firm’s Real Estate and Construction Committee.
Sara is a licensed CPA in the state of California. She is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA).
Sara is actively involved in the community. She is a volunteer for Girl Scouts of Northern California and has held a variety of roles over the years, including Troop Leader, Service Unit Treasurer and Service Unit Delegate to the Board of Directors. Sara is also a 2004 graduate of Community Leadership San Jose and currently is a Board Member and Treasurer for its alumni association San Jose Leadership Council. Sara has been Board Trustee for the local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for over a decade, serving as Treasurer for four years.
One of Sara’s recent accomplishments was working with Team in Training, fundraising to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society while completing the 2008 Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco.
Sara currently lives in Willow Glen with her husband and two daughters.
